Don’t miss our new Chilewich rack just outside of our shop door! We’d admired Chilewich rugs at trade shows… spotted one just inside the front door at an historic Airbnb in Mendocino, CA… and lusted after them in online magazines like Design Milk, which raved about the “beautiful patterns and color ways they come in, the designs are so incredibly durable and easy to take care of.” The Chilewich collection was introduced in 2000 by New York designer Sandy Chilewich.

These low profile “shag” rugs are made with phthalate-free TerraStrand™ yarns, which contain  25% renewable vegetable content. They’re sleek. They’re low-profile. They’re sophisticated. They’re just plain gorgeous.

Right now The Plant Foundry stocks Chilewich doormats and utility mats, and we plan to add larger rugs and runners in the future.
