Been too busy with all life throws atcha to plant your veggie garden and just getting started now? Not to worry! You can continue planting through June and still get a good harvest. Remember, Sacramento has a loooooooooong growing season (240+ days). You got this.

June is also a time when our growers supply us with time-saving, faster-ripening varieties… because we want homegrown veggies on your table as much as you do! Don’t miss our new selection of grafted veggies! Your favorite varieties of tomatoes, melons, eggplant and cucumber have been grafted onto vigorous, disease-resistant rootstocks to encourage earlier-yielding, more productive crops.

When planting veggies later in the season, consider planting “early-ripening” varieties like ‘Sungold’ tomatoes (pictured above), dwarf varieties, and heat-tolerant fruits and veggies.

Our monthly eNewsletter has a handy “What to Plant” list that you can view on your phone or print (it’s PDF). There’s a lot you can plant from seed as well as starts, and our eNewsletter spells it out. Haven’t subscribed yet? Sign up HERE!
